Shion's Happy Ending

sry it's in black and white but I really don't have time to color it... (and both the cats are Shion so ya know... and yes, yes J I know... Shion did NOT leave behind a body and yes, Nao never really did GRIEVE.. but I had to make some... artistic adjustments...)

Anywho.. this is one of my tribute pics for the end of my RP (which I still stand by as the most amazing ending EVER)

The story behind this one is really long. seriously.. I tried explaining it to a friend of mine and it took near an hour (cause I ramble. really bad if you can't tell)
The fastest way to sum it up is simply that there was a bit of role reversal. In order to save everyone from Mehrunes, Naoruken sacrificed himself to ancient magics in order to go Dragon (cause this is set in Oblivion and I can't just make him be that frikking cool for no reason in it. IE, yea he can do dragon transformations all day and night in MY story, but not anywhere else. it makes him to powerful)

Once in awesome silver dragon form he proceeded to kick the living snot out of Mehrunes Dagon (Look him up on an Oblivion site sometime and you'll see why it was an epic battle) before falling to the ground in exhaustion on the brink of death where Tal proceeded to sob into his scales and yell at him for doing what she made him promise not to before he died. From there a lot of other stuff happened (a LOT of stuff.... right J?)

Ultimately in the second even bigger battle (not against mehrunes but a surprise enemy this time...) Tal was severed in half and left to die in a crater. Shion had already gone over into Rissa mode (just for anyone who's been paying attention, remember my pic Rissa the Defender? [link] when combining herself with the rest of her counterparts (Reirri and Kirri), turns into that and can pretty much smoke anyone (cept a Dark Dragon evidently...)

Rissa proceeded to talk with Tal, and convince her to merge forces with her. Finally complete and in possession of all her former Fragments (Rissa was broken into 4 fragments though there's only two separate bodies. one is Reirri Kirri and Shion who all inhabit one body, and the other was Tal oooo shocker!) proceeded to own their enemies (Though Coulumbine got the final blow on the real bad guy so you know, cause she's that awesome..)

Tal had pledged her life to Nao (who had lost his if you have short attention spans) but Shion found that a rather selfish idea of the Fallen Deadra, and insisted that Tal was just trying to get all the glory for herself. So rather then let Tal sacrifice her life to resurrect Naoruken whom the assassin knew would forever mourn Tal's death, she sacrificed her life instead, and split the fragments of Rissa, giving Kirri, Reirri and Tal their bodies back.

So even the homicidal sociopath knew a thing or too on nobility and sacrifice... because ultimately she gave her life to ensure Naoruken's happy ending.

I thought it was a very great ending touch on my favorite character in the whole RP. Shion was by far the most fun because with Shion you didn't have to care about anything, you just had to be crafty and homicidal as well as really foreboding.

Even in the end, Shion knew far in advance that she was going to die.

So, because she's Shion... She just wanted to die with a smile on her face.

Godspeed my dear... We're gonna miss you.
